Vandee Crane
Vandee Crane, aka Canté Waŝté Waŝagya Win, is the name given to her by Lakota Relatives, meaning “Good Strong Hearted Woman.” She is the author of My Body My Soul, One Woman’s Journey to Reclaim Both. Vandeee was raised by her Maternal Osage Grandmother, Eleanor Grace Crane, a WWII Army Veteran, Nurse, and Artist. In 2008, when Vandee had reached the pinnacle of her trauma and alcohol addiction, she incurred 3 traumatic brain injuries within one year and could no longer function professionally or academically as she previously had. When she felt like there was no where to go or nothing that could be done, she remembered the Traditional Wisdoms that her Grandmother had raised her with and began fulfilling her childhood commitments that she had once made. The depth of healing and wisdom that she found could only be described as immeasurable. Although Vandee graduated with a degree in clinical therapy, and began her career as a clinician. These experiences inspired Vandee to walk away from her career as a mental health clinician and pursuit her dreams of supporting others in finding the healing that they are in need of by supporting women in coming together to heal through culture, connection and conversation..As a survivor of child sex trafficking, the most important goal in her life was to make a long lasting, impactful change in society . However, it didn’t take long for her to realize that our society, the systems within it, and the people running those systems were severely broken. It was time to reinvent the wheel. It was time to rEVOLutionize and inspire healing. She went through Super-Health training and became a Certified Kundalini Yoga teacher in the Aquarian Academy and she is a consultant speaker at SuperHealth trainings. She began to explore her Native American ancestral spiritual teachings and to support the grandmothers work in Native communities. She believes the Mother Wound is what makes up for the vast gap between Feminism and Matriarchy and there is a parallel between the rape and exploitation of women and the rape and exploitation of our Unic Maca “Grandmother Earth.” The mission of The Rise in Love Foundation is to support women of all Nations in transcending their wounds and limitations in life, by utilizing different healing modalities, therapies, and projects that promote healing and wholeness while encouraging growth to reach their full potential in a group conscience and trauma informed settings.

Kamaljit Kaur
tKamaljit Kaur is our Ayurvedic Consultant in diet and nutrition and empowering meditations for stress recovery and stress management. She is the founder and CEO of Vinies Ayruveda and Yogi Bath and Body. She was born into a family tradition steeped in ancient wisdom and healing technology. Her mother and father Bibiji Inderjit Kaur, PhD and Yogi Bhajan, PhD, brought Kundalini Yoga to the West in 1969 and introduced the first Ayurvedic-based businesses in the United States—Yogi Tea, Golden Temple and Peace Cereal—products that are now sold throughout the U.S., Europe and many other countries.
Special thanks is also extended to Kanchan Kohli, MD, daughter of Kamaljit Kaur, who provided research support for sound health principals and daily health tips for stress management. For generations, Kamaljit Kaur’s family households have utilized plants and herbs from the garden in their kitchen for many aspects of their lives. From their daily traditions, Kamaljit Kaur learned as a child that herbs and oils possess inherent healing and therapeutic benefits. It is this very lesson she applied to her life when she began to experience the pains of Fibromyalgia. She applied Ayurvedic remedies and placing healing wraps with oils to her head and body to alleviate the severe body aches associated with Fibromyalgia. What she noticed was that not only did the Ayurvedic medicines and oil applications take away the throbbing pains throughout her body, but her hair and skin also regained the healthy vibrancy, moisture and luster that were lost to Fibromyalgia. As she discovered these wonderful, unexpected benefits that Ayurveda brought about in the vitality of her hair and skin, she began exploring and continued reseaching the vast fountain of health and beauty secrets contained within the ancient, potent compounds of Ayurveda. Kamaljit Kaur has worked closely with Masters of Ayurveda, including Dr. Vasant Lad, founder of the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and many knowledgeable Ayurvedic physicians in India.
